For the November stake order, we are focusing on grain mills! Due to the fact that none of the suppliers could guarantee the quantity of mills we would need for our stake, we encourage you to purchase a one on your own. Throughout the week, we will post information about several different types of grain mills, including specifications and uses, our recommendations, and links for where you can purchase them online or in person. We feel that ordering a mill on your own is the best way for you to get the best price on the mill that is right for you!
Elder Vaughan J. Featherstone extended the invitation for members to set aside some of their Christmas budgets for food storage. He said:
"Decide as a family this year that 25 or 50 percent of your Christmas will be spent on a year’s supply. Many families in the Church spend considerable sums of money for Christmas. Half or part of these Christmas monies will go a long way toward purchasing the basics... Brethren, give your wife a year’s supply of wheat for Christmas, and she’ll know your heart is in the right place."If you don't have a grain mill but have a longer-term food storage supply, we encourage you to consider purchasing one this month for your family for Christmas. And, if you have little to no food storage yet, we encourage you to set aside some of this year's Christmas gift budget to get started!
