This Saturday is Farmington City's Emergency Preparedness Fair. Our stake is hosting a booth! Come join the fun and learn about all things preparedness. Also, an emergency preparedness merit badge class will be offered at the fair from 10:30-2 p.m.

Here is a portion of the letter from city leaders inviting all to attend:
Dear community members,
I write this letter in an effort to encourage local participation in upcoming emergency awareness and training opportunities. As many of you already know, history has proven how vulnerable our beautiful community is to natural disasters such as; earthquakes, flooding, landslides, severe weather and fires. These disasters may strike with little or no warning; thus, emphasizing the need for planning and preparation prior to such incidents occurring. Local emergency services are equipped and prepared to handle day-to-day operations; however, will most likely become overwhelmed during large-scale emergencies. Delivery of emergency services will be delayed!
Emergency preparedness programs are designed to educate and empower individuals within communities to help make a difference in a time of crisis. Please take to the time to see how you can better prepare your community, your family or yourself before disaster strikes.
