In this month’s stake order, we are purchasing 76 degree coconut oil from Bulk Apothecary. This is the same coconut oil we ordered last year. It comes in solid form, but melts at 76 degrees. The oil has a yellowish, off-white color. It has been refined, bleached and deodorized, which means that it is odorless and doesn’t have a coconut flavor, making it great for any recipe. Coconut oil is a great oil to store because it lasts much longer than other oils. There are many uses for coconut oil including cooking, home care, health care & beauty.
We're also offering the “Prepared Not Scared” 3-Month Supply Food Storage Cookbook. This cookbook will be printed on high-quality paper and spiral-bound. It is a great resource to help jump-start your way to using your food storage. This book includes 28 breakfast recipes, 28 lunch recipes, 29 dinner recipes, 28 bread recipes, 29 dessert recipes, a food storage shopping guide and more! All of the recipes can be made by using only food storage. The contents of this book may be downloaded for free on our blog in the “Preparedness Basics” section in the right column, under “Recipes,” or by clicking HERE.
