Hand Mill vs Electric Mill
There are pros and cons to each grain mill available on the market today. Electric grain mills are great for everyday use and mill a larger amount of flour in a shorter amount of time. But in a situation without power, electric mills would be worthless, unless you have a generator with plenty of fuel to run it. A hand-powered grain mill is an invaluable appliance for emergency preparedness purposes. Non-electric hand mills vary in quality and output, depending on the grinder. Compared to an electric grain mill, non-electric hand mills usually take more time to mill a smaller amount of flour, and vary on how finely the flour is milled.
There are several grain mill options available on the market today. Here are some of the grain mills we'll be covering throughout the week: Victorio Hand Grain Mill, Victorio Deluxe, Wondermill Junior Deluxe, Wondermill Electric and Nutrimill.
