GET MORE OUT OF CONFERENCE

Tomorrow is General Conference! Check out the following tips from The Mormon Home to help improve your general conference experience.

LOOK FOR JESUS CHRIST: All things testify of Jesus Christ (Moses 6:63) so look for Him in all things. In general conference you will find teachings about his life, example, power, Atonement and impact in the lives of those who follow Him.

LOOK FOR INSPIRATION: Pay attention to thoughts and feelings from the Spirit, even if they have nothing to do with the talks. Those impressions and ideas may be the very thing God wants you to know.

LOOK UP SCRIPTURES: Scriptures referenced by the speaker can deepen your understanding of the talk. Keep a list of verses to look up later.

LOOK FOR ANSWERS: "As you prepare for conference, I invite you to ponder questions you need to have answered. There are messages in each general conference given as a gift and a blessing from heaven specifically for our personal life situations," Deiter F. Uchtdorf.

LOOK FOR LISTS: Sometimes the speaker will provide a list of ideas, applications or truths. Sometimes you may feel impressed to create your own lists.

LOOK FOR WORDS: Certain words or phrases might jump out at you. They feel important, like they are meant just for you! Write them down.

LOOK FOR BLESSINGS: Look for blessings that are promised and blessings already received. Listing blessings helps increase gratitude.
